SOS Husted warns Election Officials about Fraud with D.C. Voter Registration Group

fist or post hand 2012 A2On June 17, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted publicly released a statement that warns Boards of Elections of possible errors and fraud relating to voter registrations submitted in their counties by the Voter Participation Center of Washington D.C..  Click here for Jon Husted’s press release.

“This sounds all too familiar to what FieldWorks LLC, another D.C. based company, did in Ohio for the 2012 Presidential Election,” says Ohio Voter Integrity Project’s Mary Siegel.  “Over 14,000 Voter registrations were filed by FieldWorks in Hamilton County in the fall of 2012. Some were fictitious while others were legitimate registrations that FieldWorks told the Board of Elections they were possibly fraudulent.”  2016 FieldWorks clients include Hillary Clinton for President, Progress Ohio and the Democratic National Committee.

The Voter Participation Center, which claims to be non-partisan, was investigated back in 2012 by Judicial Watch and found to be closely tied to the AFL-CIO, SEIU and the Ohio Democratic Party.  Click here to read the 2012 press release from Judicial Watch.

Ohio VIP believes that every eligible voter as allowed by law should be registered and allowed to vote. However, we also believe that bloated voter rolls lead to fraud and cost the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars every year.  Our thanks to SOS Jon Husted for his efforts to maintain the accuracy and legitimacy of Ohio’s voter rolls.
